Bet Payout Calculator

Enter your stake and odds to calculate your potential total return, profit and implied probability.

Total Return

Your Stake
Implied Probability
Example: €50 at 2.30 odds = €115 total return and €65 profit

The total return includes your original stake. Profit is the amount left after your stake is removed.

What Is a Bet Payout Calculator?

A bet payout calculator shows how much a winning bet would return based on your stake and the odds you are taking.

It separates the result into two important numbers: your total return and your profit.

This calculator accepts decimal, American and fractional odds, so the calculation works the same way regardless of which odds format you normally use.

Bet Payout Formula

Once the betting price is expressed as decimal odds, calculating the payout is simple.

Total Return Stake × Decimal Odds
Profit Total Return − Stake

Example: €50 Bet at 2.30 Odds

Imagine you place a €50 bet at decimal odds of 2.30.

Stake: €50
Odds: 2.30
€50 × 2.30 = €115 total return
€115 − €50 = €65 profit

If the bet wins, the bookmaker returns €115 in total. That includes the €50 originally staked, so the actual profit is €65.

Total Return vs Profit

This is one of the most common points of confusion when reading betting payouts.

Your payout is not always the same as your profit.

With decimal odds, the total return normally includes your original stake. To find the actual profit, subtract the stake from the total amount returned.

For example, winning €115 back from a €50 bet does not mean you made €115 profit. You made €65 profit because €50 of the returned money was already yours.

Does the Odds Format Change the Payout?

No. Decimal, American and fractional odds can all describe the same betting price.

Decimal: 2.30
American: +130
Fractional: 13/10
€50 Stake: €115 Total Return

The format changes how the odds are displayed, but equivalent odds produce the same payout.

What Does Implied Probability Show?

The calculator also shows the implied probability represented by the odds.

For example, decimal odds of 2.30 represent an implied probability of approximately 43.48%.

This percentage describes the probability built into the betting price. It should not be treated as a prediction of what will actually happen.

A Common Mistake

A larger potential payout does not automatically mean better value.

Higher odds produce a larger return when a bet wins, but they also represent a lower implied probability. Payout size alone does not tell you whether a betting price is good or bad.

Two bets can have very different payouts simply because the underlying odds are different. Evaluating the price requires more than looking at how much money could potentially be returned.

Why Is a Bet Payout Calculator Useful?

A payout calculator gives you a clear picture of the numbers before a bet is placed.

You can quickly see how your stake and odds affect the total return, how much of that return is actual profit and what implied probability is represented by the price.

It is particularly useful when comparing different stake sizes or betting prices without having to calculate each result manually.
